Our local government clients are recruiting an Employer Engagement Officer to help unemployed individuals secure employment through job outcome-focused support tailored to their individual needs. We are seeking candidates with a customer-centred focus and a commitment to supporting people into work, to deliver a high-quality service to residents through the effective delivery of externally funded programmes and a universal employment and skills support offer.
Responsibility
Responsible for carrying out interface with employers across all sites and supporting a caseload of job-ready customers into work. Responsible for aspects of employer engagement, coordinating approaches to key employers and brokering opportunities for skills and other initiatives as appropriate. To be available for interview via Teams on Friday, 4th July, between 11 am and 1 pm - Essential.
Qualification – Essential
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Level 3 /4 qualification or equivalent experience
- Advanced – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), social media and CRM.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- To have proven experience of working with a range of employers across several industry sectors.
- Must be able to demonstrate experience in securing job vacancies, paid and unpaid work placements, and apprenticeship opportunities.
- Experience in delivering account-managed services for employers and achieving local business and employment outcomes.
- Experience working independently and managing workload
- Advanced influencing, networking and negotiation skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure, to use initiative, prioritise work and meet competing deadlines and targets.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills - written and verbal.
- Experience in organising and coordinating events
