**Job Description**
We are seeking a Family Help Social Worker for a local government client in Weymouth, Dorset. You will join a supportive, well-structured, and growing team that offers flexible working arrangements and regular reflective supervision. **Responsibilities**
- - Deliver statutory services in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and relevant legislation.
- - Complete high-quality assessments and timely care plans.
- - Safeguard and promote the welfare of children through direct, meaningful work.
- - Build resilience with families using restorative and strengths-based approaches.
- - Prepare clear, well-evidenced reports for court and multi-agency professionals.
- - Chair meetings that bring professionals together to create a unified plan.
- - Maintain accurate case records.
- - Undertake specialist assessments with full training provided.
- - Collaborate closely with early years providers, education, police, health, and community partners to develop coordinated, child-centred support.
**Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements**
- - A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience within English local authorities.
- - A committed and thoughtful practitioner with a strong knowledge of statutory children's services, who is confident in managing complex court work and passionate about improving outcomes for children and families.

Qualification – Essential
- GCSES or equivalent to include Maths and English
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
- SWE Registration
- Ability to travel across Dorset as needed
- Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, social media.
