Description
We are recruiting a Multi-Trade Operative for a local government client in North London, to undertake building repairs, maintenance, renewals, and replacements across a range of trade disciplines, including routine reactive repairs and large-scale programmed refurbishment. Competent to a professional standard in both quality and output in disciplines: - Plumbing/Carpentry/Plastering/Electrical and Part P/P/Tiling/Painting & Decorating/Gas Safe:
Responsibility
Able to work on void housing properties and other premises, following best trade practice and to current standards and regulations.
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Completed apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ qualification or demonstrable time served experience.
- Experience across a range of trades, carpentry, plumbing, decorating, plastering and tiling. Etc.
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria to be Tested at Shortlisting.
- Proven ability to undertake all aspects of building repairs, maintenance, renewals, and replacements within the skill set.
- Can demonstrate experience in routine reactive repairs to major renewals of installations in occupied and void properties.
- Able to identify and diagnose the causes of building faults and defects, and the most appropriate solution to be applied.
- Able to take account of the need to reduce repeated faults and visits and ensure the most cost-effective solution under the circumstances.
- Must be able to complete all repairs “Right First Time and to a high standard of quality.
- Must be able to ensure that safe working methods and full compliance with health & safety regulations are always met.
- Able to maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current standards, principles and best practice appropriate to your specialist trade.
- Able to complete all documentation required for the proper running and administration of the service, including daily work records, timesheets, material schedules, requisitions and the like.

- Enhanced DBS check.
- Full clean UK driving licence
