Description
Our local government clients are recruiting a Service Coordinator to assist the management team in delivering services and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Responsibility
Act as Shift Lead for a specified period, as needed for operational purposes. Ensure that activities are delivered following the plan. First point of call for emergent issues, ensuring escalation to Management when required.
Qualification – Essential
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Health and Social Care Qualification at level 2 or equivalent
- Desirable - Health and Social Care Qualification at level 3 or equivalent
- Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Social Media, and CRM.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements - Criteria to be Evaluated at the Shortlisting Stage.
Successful candidates will have:
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation.
- Knowledge and understanding of quality standards and company requirements.
- Knowledge of person-centred approaches and delivery of care and support in community-based settings.
- Specialist equipment health and safety awareness.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of the company's activities and objectives, as well as a good sense of its wider strategic plans, both current and future.
- Working to set challenging but achievable targets.
- Build relationships with customers to identify key issues and anticipate their requirements.
- Acting as a customer champion within the company.
- Advanced IT literate.
- Display and model positive attitudes to equality and diversity.
- Ability to work with other professionals/service users/carers/families and promote partnership working.
- Ability to write reports and maintain records.
- Understanding of the role of support in a social care setting.
- Desirable - Ability to work with people with complex needs.
- Desirable - Experience in delivering direct personal care requirements.
- Desirable - Previous experience of working in social care in the private, voluntary and charity sector.
- Ability to travel for work from various locations.
- On occasion, able to work outside traditional hours, at weekends and evenings as required, adopting a flexible working approach in response to business requirements
Essential Compliance Requirements
- 5 years' reference including current employment
- An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role
- A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
